GOALS FOR THIS MODULE:

  • Understand the concept of balance and why it matters in manifesting.

  • Flex the imagination muscle to inspire you to create true balance in your life.

  • Continue the practice of anchoring into the authentic self.

  • Remove any lingering residual inner conflict so you can allow yourself to stretch your imagination.

  • Create a vision board based on how far you have stretched your imagination.


Course Content


Balance

The sacred practice of balance in many spiritual traditions is very different than what we are taught about balance in our culture. Our understanding of balance is having things in the correct value proportions. But our collective concept of balance actually creates separation.

When you see certain areas of your life as separate (such as your professional life versus your personal life) you begin separating yourself to support these areas. This causes fragmentation. We covered the concept of fragmentation in the module, Resistance.

When one area of your life is out of alignment with what part of you wants, it is impossible to achieve a full integration. You can achieve wholeness by integrating all the areas of your life, so the various areas can nourish each other. It may sound impossible, but once you open up to this possibility, it becomes easier.

Balance cannot necessarily be achieved by adding or taking something away. We believe this is the way to achieve balance because we are under the spell of separation, and separation is the path to suffering.

It also becomes impossible to live in wholeness when you are scattering your energy in many directions. Scattered energy is what ultimately perpetuates the idea of separation. You will not be able to co-create with the universe if you are operating from the perspective of separation, because the universe is working in the other direction, toward Integration.

Dream Bigger

Sometimes, we believe we want something because we haven’t let ourselves dream big enough. For example, if you are wanting to manifest a promotion, but there is a part of you that would rather stay at home with your family, or have free time to pursue another passion, you will knock yourself out trying to manifest a promotion that will probably never come.

The purpose of this practice is not to instill fear – it is designed to help you get very clear on what it is that you actually want. The systems we grow up in tell us what we should want. After a while, we begin to believe it, and before you know it, you will have found yourself climbing the ladder in an unfulfilling career or marrying someone who is wrong for you, because these particular achievements are how success was defined for you.

You are a goddess. You and only you get to choose what fulfills you.

If your desires are buried under the expectations of others, then you are under the spell of the system that created those expectations. Maybe your dream feels too big. Maybe it feels like you don’t have enough time left to pursue your greatest passion. Maybe you feel like there are too many people relying on you to maintain the status quo, so you keep trudging through life doing things that have nothing to do with your purpose.

Your imagination is the gateway to manifesting. Nothing can be created until it is first imagined. As a child, you used your imagination constantly. And as you were socialized, you began to understand the expectations of others. This is when imagination began to seem useless. This is the biggest failure of cultural expectations.

You must allow yourself to dream so big that it scares you. This is how you flex the imagination muscle and make it strong again. Without a strong imagination, you will not manifest what you actually want.


Journal

  1. What do you want to manifest right now? Get clear on what it is you want by listing the benefits of having it. Then, consider the possible negative impacts. Write it all down. How could you eliminate the negative impacts of what you desire? Get creative.

  2. Allow yourself to imagine waking up every morning, excited to hop out of bed and get going with the day, because you get to do exactly what you want to do. If you’re having a hard time with that, go back to childhood. What did you love doing when you were free to play? Write those things down and allow yourself at least 30 minutes of uninterrupted time to dream up ways to turn your childhood playtime into a career or a business, or even a hobby you can resurrect.

  3. It doesn’t matter how far-fetched or out-of-reach it seems. Play with the idea. Then, allow yourself to think even bigger than that. How far can you stretch this idea?

  4. How could you take this idea and expand it by 100? By 1,000?

Listen

In this module, you can benefit from listening to the Inner Conflict and Authenticity meditations again. Listen to both or choose one that you noticed the most resistance to. This module paired with these meditations will help you begin to anchor your stretched vision into your subconscious mind.

You will need earbuds in order to get the desired effect. Give yourself ample time to listen all the way through and then journal your experiences.

Action

  1. Review your journal entries from this module. In what areas did you find clarity? If clarity doesn’t come right away, that’s OK. Imagine what it could look like to have clarity and give it a few days to bubble up to the surface.

  2. Once you have found clarity, create a vision board using the guide below. Remember, it is imperative that you complete your vision board in the space of peace and joy, and in the knowingness that you are creating the landscape of your new reality.
