Course Content


Emotional Mastery

To manifest like a goddess, you must claim dominion over your emotions. When you care about how you FEEL, rather than the story your ego is focused on, details matter less and the feeling around the situation becomes more inward-focused than outward focused. This is how you take control over your life.

More often than not, when you find yourself taking things personally, it is not about the external event you’re experiencing. It is coming from old wounds that you have not yet healed. Sometimes facing the wounds are hard to bear. But it’s better to face the wounds and clear them through creating awareness around them so they can dissipate, then to stuff them and focus on things you cannot control. Focusing on stories instead of feelings gets you trapped into a negative cycle that cannot end.

This is how we fall into victim mentality. When we take on the role of victim, we lose all the power we have over our experiences in life. It does not matter what has happened to you thus far. The only reason it ever mattered is because there is a belief present that someone needs to take the blame.

We cannot possibly understand why circumstances happen or people choose to act without inquiry. Often, once we inquire, we achieve a new understanding of why things happened. It never has anything to do with the story we created. That story came from how you interpreted the event, and nothing more.

To claim your power over any situation, you must release the negative emotional charge of the situation by taking full responsibility. This does not mean you take on blame. You instead take on responsibility for how you are feeling in the particular moment. By understanding that the emotion you feel has nothing to do with the other person or the circumstance you are in, you can reclaim your power and choose another thought and feeling.

Taking responsibility for the feelings that are coming up within you will help you to change the outcome of your life experience. Handing over responsibility of your emotional state to another is doing nothing more than giving away your own power and dominion over your life. Blame does nothing except perpetuate the negative experience you do not want.

You can activate your emotional energetic space by moving into the feeling. This deactivates thought details and the story surrounding it. From there, you can be gentle with yourself because your intention is set on your relationship with yourself, instead of trying to control outcomes that are beyond your control.  

This practice will build the resilience we need in order to manifest like a goddess.


Action

  1. You are naturally going to hit external obstacles that you have to overcome. During the next two weeks, when you hit an obstacle, focus on how the obstacle is making you feel rather than the story of the obstacle. Turn inward and ask yourself how you can show up for you in the moment. If you need to remove yourself form the situation, do it. The most important person on this journey is you right now. Make you a priority.

  2. Ask yourself in the moment, “What do I need to know about how I’m feeling right now?” Be patient. Wait for the answer to come by leaving space for it to surface. Do not spin stories in your mind. The true answer comes quietly but clearly, without fear.

Journal

  1. Write down one or two sentences about the challenges you face with mastering emotions. When do you feel like a victim?

  2. What are the emotions you struggle with? Name them. Write down each one. Forget the story around it. It is not relevant. You are practicing showing up for yourself instead of worrying about anyone or anything else. Show up for yourself in these moments without defensiveness. Instead, get curious about the emotions that are moving within you.

  3. Maybe you are feeling anxious, because you want something that is not coming. Why do you want this thing? Why must it come in the way you want it? What need is not being met? How can you meet this need on your own? This practice will help you grow your internal radar system, which is necessary for creating the life you desire. 

 Listen
